Dermal Fillers - Restylane

Restylane is an innovation in dermal fillers. It is based on non-animal hyaluronic acid and because there is no pre-test needed with this product, the procedure can be completed within 30 minutes. Restylane also has the unique ability to bind water and when its molecules dissolve they leave the body. This is unlike anything permanent. This product gives the patient a choice. How does it work?

Hyaluronic acid is present in all living organisms including your skin. This is what created volume in the skin giving it a healthy appearance. The injections contain Hyaluronic acid which when injected lifts the skin. The Medication works together with the body’s natural Hyaluronic acid to create volume in the skin.

What are the Potential Side Effects?

There may be some minimal bruising following this procedure. Some redness of this skin may be experienced which could feel tender and itchy. This is temporary and will resolve itself after a few days of the treatment. Swelling of the lip treatments may last a little longer and some patients may experience outbursts of cold sores if they are prone to them.

How long does the treatment last?
